Today is a very special day for me. I will be aging up to a young adult. I'm baking my birthday cake and will have the family over to my apartment to watch me blow out the candles.
It was nice having my family over to help me celebrate my birthday. Of course, I also invited my best friend Shayla Godwin. She still isn't ready to leave her parents and is happy for now where she is.
I have now aged up to a young adult.
That's me. All grown up. I have a job now and my goal is to reach the top of the political career.
Dad and I catching up on things at the Romance Festival. It's different not, yet somehow the same. It's good to be able to see him from time to time when he decides to make an appearance. His grave site is at the main Berri home.
My job keeps me quite busy. I am always out protesting this or that, rallying for the cause, and painting political murals. It's very time consuming but rewarding as well.
I have met someone who is very special to me. His name is Brett Rasmussen. He is quite romantic, but he's also non-committal. Maybe we are more alike than I want to admit.
I have had more than my share of relationships and break-ups already but somehow this one seems different. We are both very much in love.
I believe both Brett and I got a bit caught up in our emotions and before I talked myself out of it I did it. I asked Brett to marry me. I think I halfway expected him to say no because I know how difficult it is for him to commit to one person. To my surprise he said yes. We are officially engaged.
Since that night we have talked. We've discussed. We've second guessed. Are we certain we want to do this?
We talked. We discussed. We second guessed some more.
Time passed and neither of us made the decision to call this thing off. Today is the day. The cake is done. The plans are made. The family is coming. We should be very happy.
Right?
