Chapter 34 So This Happened

 

Hi all. Ashley here. I've begun my dream career to become a professional athlete but was not quite expecting this. I can hardly wait to get promoted so I no longer have to wear this mascot uniform. I also really want to max out my singing skill too and will be working hard to get that done as well.

I have met a new friend. His name is Charles Dalton. I met him at work. He stops by to visit occasionally. I like him. For now he's a good friend. (I found out he is neat!! However, he is also an alien!! I don't know if I want to go there.)

Mom still frequently stops by to see how things are going. She is very subtle about getting information regarding my job and my love life. We still love to sing together.

I had a surprise visit from my past. Darryl Lee. He is a young adult now and doing very well. Still single. Still as handsome as ever.

One thing about Darryl though. He's not very consistent. He's hot and cold and a bit unpredictable. I have to admit I find the guy a bit intimidating at times. 

During his visit though... I'm not gonna lie. There are still some sparks between us after all this time.

Darryl is very charming when he chooses to be. 

Alberto stopped by for a visit. I'm so glad we are able to be friends after all that's happened between us. He is still a teenager and doing great!

Off to work again. I am really hoping to get a promotion today.

Charming Darryl has become a regular visitor lately. Not that I'm complaining.

So, this happened (With no help from me. They did it completely on their own.) 

Not more than a few days later, this also happened. 

I guess we know what this means, don't we?

Getting up the nerve to tell Darryl of our "situation" is really hard for me. I'm not sure how he is going to take the news.

Well, that didn't go over very well. Darryl was not very happy to hear he is going to be a father at this time, under these circumstances.

I am beginning to show my pregnancy now and have yet to let any of the family in on my little secret.

Lacy visited so I decided to let her know my good news. Yes, for me this is good news.

A pregnant Ashley off to work.

I have been promoted to Rookie!

Kaydence came for a visit and of course she is aware of the baby. She is super happy for me. She assured me that everyone in the family knows about it and are happy for me. That's a relief. I do need to see mom and dad soon. They will likely be surprised at how big I have gotten during this pregnancy.

I have finally maxed my singing skill. I am so happy to have accomplished this!

I decided to try working out on the treadmill. Should I be doing this as pregnant as I am? I'll be very careful and do a light workout. (I was surprised when she hopped on that and started jogging.)

Another promotion...but no new uniform? (Maybe because I am pregnant??)

I've been taking it easy and have been doing a lot of competitive research on the web. Maybe I should let the more physical activities go for the time being.

Charming Darryl visited today. I haven't seen him for quite some time. He seemed to be in a pretty good mood and even wanted to touch the baby bump. So sweet!

He even gave me a passionate kiss and seemed really happy to be with me. Are we heading towards something special here? Are we falling in love with one another again?

He's so charming...until he's not. I think I said the wrong thing and he's yelling at me again! This man is so hard to figure out.

If anything does develop again between these two it will have to be temporary. Darryl's traits are snob, bookwork, and practice makes perfect. No neat trait to be found. Oh...he's not erratic though he certainly acts like it sometimes. I think he is carrying a grudge towards Ashley for breaking up with him when they were teenagers.

At least he could be my third breakup before finding Mr. Right!
